The Wandong-Heathcote Junction Community Group offers it’s deepest sympathy to everyone who has been affected by the bushfires particularly to those who have lost family, friends and homes.
“Thank you” is not enough when wishing to portray our our sincere gratitude to the multitude of volunteers who have defended our towns against the most incredible forces and conditions that could be imagined. The efforts of the CFA, DSE, Red Cross, Salvation Army and those magnificent men in their flying machine was nothing short of inspiring.
It also very encouraging to see the initiatives put in place and offers being made by Federal, State and local Government – they certainly appear to be doing all they can to make it easier for those residents in desperate need of help.
The WHJCG is eager to get involved with Mitchell Shire Council, other authorities and residents to restore our towns. Any resident who requires help to restore property should not hesitate to contact a member of the WHJCG or through Allen Hall (57 871 474 AH or 0413 832 411 BH). We are here to help and it only takes a phone call to find out what can be offered
